MEET SHANNON YINGLING

Shannon attended her first yoga class in high school, and it was an experience that she will never forget. When she took her first hot vinyasa class a few years later, she fell in love with how the practice made her feel and she knew after that first class that there was a calling on her heart to one day become a yoga teacher so she could share the gift of yoga with others.

Thirteen years later, Shannon earned her 200-hour certification in Virginia Beach, VA. It was a dream fulfilled and an experience and season she will forever cherish. Since earning her 200-hour certification, Shannon has taught at multiple studios in Virginia and Colorado and has truly treasured sharing the joy and experience of yoga with her students.

Shannon’s classes focus on the mind, body, breath, and spirit connection and she encourages her students to meet themselves where they are with each class, knowing that every day is different. In her classes, students can expect a slow grounding and warm-up followed by a fun, thoughtfully sequenced, and empowering flow filled with opportunities to explore their practice and to challenge themselves. Her hope for each class is that her students will find a deeper connection within themselves that they can take off their mats into their daily lives.

Yoga is an integral part of Shannon’s life, and she has loved experiencing how her practice has changed over the years and reflecting on how those changes have translated to her life off the mat as well. She is grateful to be a forever student of this practice. When she’s not practicing or teaching, you can find Shannon hiking, traveling, reading, or spending time with family and friends.
